Transfer of personal data outside the EU or the European Economic Area

Personal data may be transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area to the extent permitted by law. In such cases, the transfer will be made using the European Commission's standard data protection clauses or another transfer mechanism permitted by data protection legislation. 

Retention of personal data

DentÅ will retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is used or to fulfil legal data retention requirements.

Protection of personal data

DentÅ uses appropriate physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect your information from misuse. These include, but are not limited to, controlling and filtering network traffic, using encryption techniques and secure facilities, appropriate access controls, granting and monitoring access rights in a controlled manner, guiding staff involved in the processing of personal data, and managing risks in the design, implementation and maintenance of our services. DentÅ selects its subcontractors carefully and ensures through contractual and other arrangements that the data is also processed by them in accordance with the law and good data protection practices.

Rights of the data subject

Right of access

Data subjects have the right to be informed about the processing of their personal data and to access the data concerning them.

Right to rectification

Data subjects have the right to demand the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning them and to have incomplete personal data completed.

Right to erasure

Data subjects have the right to request the erasure of their personal data. The requested erasure is carried out within the limits allowed by law. 

Right to object to or restrict processing of personal data

Under certain circumstances, data subjects have the right to object at any time, based on their specific situation, to the processing of their personal data.

Data subjects have the right to request the restriction of personal data processing if they dispute the accuracy of their personal data. In this case, the processing of personal data is limited for the duration of the investigation.

The right to data portability

Data subjects have the right to request the transfer of their data from one system to another if they provided the personal data themselves, and the processing is based on consent or a contract. 

The right not to be subject to automated decision-making

Data subjects have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning them or similarly significantly affects them. However, there are exceptions to this prohibition.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

A data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Finland, the Data Protection Ombudsman) if the data subject considers that data protection legislation is being infringed in the
processing of their personal data.
